On November 3, 2026, the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan hosted a familiarization tour for representatives of tourism companies and agencies operating in Baku.
The event aimed to introduce participants to the Museum's tourism potential, encourage its inclusion in sightseeing itineraries across Baku, and strengthen cooperation with the tourism sector.
The tour was conducted by Ganira Gafarli, Chief Specialist of the Museum's Department of Innovations and Educational Programs. Participants explored the permanent exhibition and learned about exhibits representing different periods of Azerbaijan's history, digital and interactive facilities available to visitors, and ongoing educational programs.
During the visit, particular attention was paid to the educational value of interactive activities, including quests and quizzes. Kubra Dadashova, Museum Manager, introduced the audio guides and interactive information kiosks, which allow visitors to explore the exhibition independently. She noted that the audio guides provide information in several languages, while the kiosks offer additional details about the exhibits in Azerbaijani, English, Russian, and Turkish.
The event concluded with an exchange of views on incorporating the Museum into sightseeing itineraries, attracting organized tour groups, and exploring opportunities for further cooperation.
