First meeting of the Department of Social Sciences was held at Presidium of ANAS, May 25.

Opening the meeting vice-president of ANAS, acad. Isa Habibbayli provided information on the issues of agenda. In the meeting of Presidium of ANAS dated May 20, decisions were made on structural approve of the departments. Thus, corresponding member of ANAS Nargis Akhundova was appointed bureau chairman of Department of Social Sciences, while corresponding member of ANAS Shahin Mustafayev deputy chairman of bureau. Later on, chief department of National Museum of Azerbaijan History, PhD in History Sebuhi Ahmadov delivered a lecture titled as “XV-XVI centuries Azerbaijan weapons in world museums”. Lecture was discussed and questions were responded.
Adoption the admission plan for PhD and doctoral training at Department of Social Sciences in 2015, extensive amendments to research works of Philosophy and Law Institute and other issues were discussed in the meeting.
