Foundations of National Museum of Azerbaijan History enrich with rare exhibits

imgFoundations of National Museum of Azerbaijan History enrich with rare exhibits. 15 rare manuscripts dated back XVII-XX centuries are special among them.


Gurani-Karim penned in Arabic in the XVIII century, miniature cover of “Khamsa” by Nizami Ganjavi dated back to the late of XIX century, “Divan” by Muhammad Fuzuli published in ancient Turkic language in the early of XX century, and “Beyani merifeti iman ve islam” books by Nasiraddin Tusi penned in naskh calligraphy demonstrate high level of Azerbaijan culture including calligraphy.

Restoration of these books with disrepair cover and sheets to be agreed to carry out at the restoration laboratory of the museum, supervised by Stavros Andreou, advisor of UNESCO for restoring of historical manuscripts.
