National Museum of Azerbaijan History pays constant attention to the generation, propagation and scientific study of the rich cultural heritage of our people, and regularly conducts work in this area.
Recently, the museum has acquired new samples of culture material: plaques, necklaces, ornaments, pins, and a horse figure. They are found during excavations in Gobustan, in 2016.
All findings are clothing, head and breast ornaments, which were used in daily life. In the process of preparing such technical methods were used as forging, stamping, grinding, soldering, stroke and others.
On the basis of a comparative analysis of these findings is assumed that, they belonged to the ancient period, more precisely, IV-I centuries. BC.
Similar findings were also found in the monuments Mollaisagli (Ismayilli) and Nargizava (Agsu). Currently, the museum presents the most exquisite examples of art of bronze objects discovered in specified monuments. Five samples belong to material culture of the Shirvan region and give a complete idea of a metal working art level of development.
Findings are reflecting the ideological thoughts of artistic taste of Caucasian Albania and have very valuable as a source.
