National Museum of Azerbaijan History started investigation under the international project

Archaeological Foundation of ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan Historybegan research in the international project on "Re-development and publication of archaeological materials discovered during excavations in Kultepe in 1951-1964". Ongoing works in the current year are the continuation of studies in previous years and makes the last stage of the project.


Studies will be completed on 12 February.

The project is headed by the famous archaeologist, head of Nakhchivan Department corresponding member of ANAS Veli Bakhshaliyev and the National Center for Research of France, PhD Remy Burton (paleontologist).

The project participants are the teacher of Nakhchivan State University Fizza Guliyeva (artist), employees of the National Center for French Studies, Associate Professor - Dr. Catherine Murray (archaeologist), Ph.D. Nicolas Gailhard (archaeologist) and Ph.D. Marie Orange (archaeologist-chemist).

Research work are consists of measuring the size of the fund stored in the Archaeological finds Kultepe I, removal of graphic and photographic images, analysis of metallic and obsidian tools, and data verification.
