National Museum of History of Azerbaijan has gained archeological treasure
National Museum of Azerbaijan History of ANAS has gained archeological treasure. The numismatic coins included to the hoard were transferred to the Scientific Fund Department of Numismatics and Epigraphy of this organization.
Coins have been investigated by a well-known numismatic scientist, head of the Department of Numismatics and Epigraphy of the Museum, Doctor of History Ali Rajabli. The scientist said that the silver and copper coins belonged to the XVII-XIX centuries. According to him, the shooting was obtained from Shamakhi as a result of casual finding. The silver coins, which form part of the Treasury, were perpetrated during the Abbasids, Safavids and Khanates.
Rajabli noted that the words "Either Owner - Time", "Ya Kerim" were engraved on Persian silver coins minted in Ganja and Shamakhi.
These precious metals, included to the numismatic collection of the museum, are of great historical significance.
