New numismatic materials included to the Museum of Azerbaijan National History
Part of the treasure, discovered in the Zagatala region, consisting of silver dirhams of the Shirvanshahs era, was transferred to ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan History.
By definition, head of the Department of the Scientific Fund for Numismatics and Museum epigraphy, Doctor of History, Prof. Ali Rajabli, the coins belong to the coining of Shirvanshah Muhammad V (981-991) and Yazid III (991-1027). Another unique coin, purchased from a personal collection, is silver dirham, minted in the name of Shirvanshah Gubad (1043 - 1049). Materials are of great importance from the point of view of shedding light on the dark pages of the history of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, a treasure founded in the Ganja region, are silver dirhams of Elkhani (the end of the 13th century - the beginning of the 14th century), as well as the treasure of silver Akkoyunlu (second half of the 15th century) silver found on this territory is valuable as a historical source and topographic factor.
