On March 31, 2021, on the occasion of the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis, a virtual scientific seminar was organized by Khazar University's Department of History and Archeology for students majoring in history teaching at the Faculty of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences.
Shafa Movsumov, director of the Patriotic War Fund of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan of ANAS, doctoral student of the Institute of History named after A.A. Bakikhanov, made a report on "March Genocide: Mass Terror of Armenians against Azerbaijanis". Then students' questions were answered and a discussion was held on the topic.
September 18 marks the birth of two prominent figures in Azerbaijan’s musical culture — Uzeyir Abdulhuseyn oglu Hajibeyli and Muslim Muhammed oglu Magomayev. Through their creative work and multifaceted activities, both made a significant contribution to the formation and development of professional music in Azerbaijan.
The memory of Yasen Ahmadov is also preserved at the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan.

On September 1, marking the anniversary of the death of the renowned philanthropist and entrepreneur Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev (1838–1924), staff of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan visited his grave in Mardakan.
