Azerbaijan elected vice-president of UNESCO Committee

UNESCOAzerbaijan was elected the vice-president of UNESCO`s Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in Event of Armed Conflict. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the seventh session of the UNESCO`s Committee for Protection of Cultural Property held in Paris saw the election of three vice-presidents and the General-Rapporteur, as well as committee`s new members.



Belgium was elected the chairman of the committee, while Azerbaijan, Croatia and Salvador were elected vice-presidents. Croatia was also elected the General-Rapporteur. Azerbaijan`s appointment is the result of its efforts in protection of cultural property.
