National press enriches funds of ANAS Azerbaijan National History Museum

“Molla Nasreddin” Our fellow living in the USA Farhad Mammadov has presented covered batch of 1908-1909 years issues of the first most popular satirical magazine in the Muslim East, the “Molla Nasreddin” magazine to ANAS Azerbaijan National History Museum.

Note that, the batch was belonged to well-known economist and ethnograph, intellectual of Azerbaijan People Republic period, who secretly fought against the Soviet occupation and one of the active members of the Organization of Independence Azerbaijan, Mahammadhasan bey Baharli (1896-1937). After M. Baharli’s shooting in 1937, books and magazines of his library were remained for Mir Hasan Mir Əbdulahad oglu Hasanov, later were given his grandchild F.Mammadov.
