By National Museum of History of Azerbaijan was issued a new book which is dedicated to the little-investigated  page of Azerbaijan history.

A book titled “Caspian bulk-oil (1847-1917)” was written by Vyacheslav Samedov who worked many years  at museum and  was indefatigable researcher of Azerbaijan navy history. Candidate of History, Vyacheslav Samedov wrote his book on the base of unknown to publicity documents  kept in  archives of  Russia  and Azerbaijan.

Untimely death of  the author  (V. Samedov died in 1997) made it difficult the publication of the book. In 2013 by directory of the museum was taken the decision to publish this book dedicated to  V. Samedov’s  70th jubilee. As result of hard work was published the monograph revealing Azerbaijan oil work, Azerbaijan history of navy as well as many other issues  little-investigated in the general history of Azerbaijan during late XIX and early XX centuries.

It should be noted that scientific secretary of the museum, PhD Farkhad Jabbarov is the scientific editor of the book and major work in preparation of this book for publication is done by him.
