St. Petersburg city (Russian Federation) hosted for the international conference on “Study of cultural heritage: new challenges for library, archive and museums” by joint organization of National library of the country, Institute of Holland and Petrovsky Historical Society.
Azerbaijan was represented by deputy director of ANAS Azerbaijan National History Museum on academic affairs Dr. History Nargiz Aliyeva and senior scientific worker for "Study of Arabic manuscripts" of the Institute of Manuscripts of ANAS PhD in theological sciences Sabina Nematzadeh.
In the assembly containing from five sessions, N. Aliyeva reported on “Digitalization of the exhibits of ANAS Azerbaijan National History Museum: problems and solutions”, S. Nematzadeh on “Digitalization of artistically and rare exhibits with the goal to protect cultural heritage”.
Report were attended on e-versions of manuscripts obtained from world’s museum and libraries, their essence, creation of digital collections related in material-cultural heritage, its utilization, new directions in this sphere, and delivery ways of museum materials to the young generation.
Azerbaijani scholars were familiar with rare and rich manuscript fund at Consulate of Kingdom of Netherlands in St. Petersburg, Russian National Library and branches, as well as its central building.
