The catalogue examines the history and etymology of the art of gold work embroidery, and provides information on various techniques. The study includes clothing items belonging to the collection of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, samples of material culture used for interior decoration of houses, accessories, materials related to the Islamic religion, bandoliers, saddle pods, and embroideries. For the first time, gold work embroidery techniques were presented in a new classification.
