In the collection of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, there is a bronze medal produced on the occasion of 20th anniversary of Mingechevir. On the front side of the medal, there is the following dedication minted in Russian: “To Mingechevir, to the city’s hardworking residents, to the conquerors of Kur”. Besides the sentence, there is also a picture of a man splitting rock with a miner’s hack, and a lady watering the plants. The artefact is dedicated to the people who had built the cities that changed geography and economy of Azerbaijan, and social composition of the Azerbaijani people.
