On May 16, 2014 in National Azerbaijan History Museum of ANAS was held the opening of exhibition “Gifts of Friends”.

The event consists of two parts and attended by the heads of some government agencies, scientists, researchers, academics, students and representatives of the media. In the artistic part of the event by the collective of Russian Cultural Center in Azerbaijan were presented dances from different countries. Opened the official part of action director of the Museum, Academician Naila Valikhanli told about history of the presented international gifts, their value, about cooperation of AR with various countries. She noted that the museum collection contains over 800 exhibits. These artifacts are stored in different funds: the fund gifts and souvenirs, fund art (works of art), the fund ethnography (carpets). The gift of Azerbaijanians from Tabriz in the 1944 th year – was the first presented to the museum. In addition, various gifts from regions of Dagestan, Chechnya, Tatarstan, Bashkiria and Siberia were presented. The most largest number of 105 gifts was presented by the Russian Federation. In conclusion of the event N.Valihanly reported that for close cooperation with the Museum to Ambassador of Turkey in Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Dzhoshgun, Belarus embassy in Azerbaijan, the company BP, a research scientist Adalet Tahirzade was handed a letter of thanks.
