The ceremony under “Martyrs are our pride” dedicated to the sacrifices of January 20, tragedy was held in ANAS, National History Museum of Azerbaijan with the organization of New Talented Children and The Young .
The vice president of ANAS, the director of ANAS, National History Museum of Azerbaijan, academician Naila Valikhanly remembered the tragedy to the children. When the tragedy happened, we were the citizens of SSR. The leaders of Communist party always promised us luxurious life. We believed in them and that day we couldn’t understand what happened. As we believed in them our people met them unarmed and we were killed.” The academician noted that our republic existed for thousand years and is going to exist forever. “The future of this state depends on us, especially on children. We save our land today and we must save it in future. We must never forget this bloody day of history.” She noted that the people killed in January 20 were first sacrifices of Azerbaijan independence. We mustn’t forget the injustice in the world with remembering the tragedy. She thinks that new generation can differ the enemies from friends.”
The pupils of secondary school named after Bulbul said poems dedicated to the martyrs. Then students watched the slide demonstrated in the exposition hall and familiarized with the carpet “Martyr” and panel of “January 20 Tragedy”.
