Numerous ceremonies on the occasion of International Day of Museums were held in Agsu, on March 18. First the teachers and pupils of the region schools got acquainted with the archeological excavations and open lesson were held.

Then in the region History-Ethnography Museum was held the seminar about “Archeological tourism and museums” with the participation of the members of Agsu archeological expeditions, representatives of Executive Power of Agsu region, employees of the region museum and intellectual people dedicated to the International Day of Museums.

The chief of Agsu archeological expedition, doctor of historical science Gafar Jabiyev, the deputy of Executive Power of Agsu region Akif Mirzayev, restorer-architect Luici Skrinzi invited from Italy, chief department of National History Museum of Azerbaijan, candidate of history sciences Fariz Khalili, the director of History-Ethnography Museum of Agsu region Sevda Damirova, the director of Heydar Aliyev Center Reyhana Tajizade spoke about archeological excavations on the territory of the region, buildings and workshops, the research of restoration and conservations dissemination of archeological tourism in Azerbaijan, tourism opportunities of Agsu and the place of the archeological tourism of museums.

On that day representatives of region society, schoolchildren got acquainted with the exhibition of the newest archeological findings of Agsu organized in the History-Ethnography Museum.
