On 18-26 May 2021, virtual International program “Museums and Nizami’s heritage” within the framework of the project “Museum week for schoolchildren” was organized by the Republic Center for Children’s and Youth Development in cooperation with Nizami Ganjavi International Center with the support of Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Within the scope of the program, beginning from 18 May till 26 May every day, virtual tours were arranged to Museum named after Nizami Ganjavi in Ganja city under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, Azerbaijan State Museum of Musical Culture, Azerbaijan State Theatre Museum named after Jafar Jabbarli, museums under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences- National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, Institute of Manuscripts of Azerbaijan named after Muhammad Fuzuli- and museums in foreign countries- Library of Congress in USA, State Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow.

On 26 May, the event “Museums and Nizami’s heritage” within the framework of the project “Museum week for schoolchildren” was held at the ANAS National Museum of History of Azerbaijan via Zoom.

Leading research scientist of Department of Popular-Scientific Work and Education of the Museum, PhD in History Bahram Karimov and the employee of Department of Scientific Education and Excursions Khadija Huseynova attended the event.

Research scientist B.Karimov talked about the activity of the Museum and interschool relations of museums. B.Karimov has also noted that materials concerning the period of Nizami are preserved at the Museum and researchers investigate Nizami’s heritage on the basis of those materials.

Participants and followers watched the video dedicated to the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan presented by B.Karimov with great pleasure and interest.

Later, the employee of Department of Scientific Education and Excursions Khadija Huseynova conducted a virtual tour to the Memorial Museum of Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev talking about the life and house museum of H.Z.Taghiyev. Khadija Huseynova answered thoroughly the questions asked by pupils.
