ANAS National Azerbaijan History Museum associates’ theses published in Austria

 

“Application of new technologies to determine the metal composition of the archaeological jewelry” thesis by head protector of ANAS National Azerbaijan History Museum, PhD in history Mahfuze Zeynalova, chief of Special Fund Afet


Rustambeyova and chief department of ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems, PhD in chemistry Dinara Abbasova had published in the “Proceedings of the 16th Conference on Cultural Heritage and New Technologies” in Vienna, Austria.

 

Noted that, museum's Special Fund are kept jewelry found while archaeological excavations. The most ancient of them is belonged to II millennium BC. These items were analyzed via IRP spectrometers for the first time. As a result, the ratio of the precious metals contained in them was learnt without damaging, and time leveling of the items was specified.

Photographs and schemes have been added to the text of the thesis arousing interest on foreign professionals.
