On February 11, was held last farewell ceremony with notable scholar, president of ANAS, acad. Mahmud Karimov. Governmental and non-governmental dignities, MPs, intellectuals, public representatives were also attended at ceremony. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the farewell ceremony. Wreathes put in front of the

funeral on behalf of various government organizations. Later on, scholar’s funeral passed away. He was buried in the first Alley of Honor. Mahmud Karimov will always live in the memory of those who knew him.
