“XIX century and the first half of the XX century -  educators and enlightenment of Azerbaijan”

ANAS Azerbaijan National History Museum published collected articles   titled “XIX century and the first half of the XX century - educators and enlightenment of Azerbaijan” which includes the development of education,  activity of  notable enlighteners. Collected articles with its distinctive features differ  from other books, monographs and papers covering this issue, is authors’ utilization of rich collection stored  in the museum and historical materials less known to the general publicity and scientific community. Scientific-editor of the collected articles is director of the museum, Academician Naila Valikhanli,   author of the “Foreword” is scientific secretary of the museum PhD Farkhad Jabbarov.


During preparation of the collected articles assistance and contribution of  notable  researcher, Professor  Adalat Tahirzade  to the  group of authors was huge.  “XIX century and the first half of the XX century - educators and enlightenment of Azerbaijan”   has been published by decision of Scientific Council of ANAS National Museum of History of Azerbaijan.

 

The collection consists of papers written during research and  hard scientific activity  of  12 authors. In  the collected articles  were included “Education patriot  Habib  Bey Mahmudbeyov”, “Rashid bey Efendiyev - educator, writer, teacher”,  “Again on the history of  Mardakan  gardening school”,  “From history  of  St. Nina school in  Azerbaijan ”,  “ Education work  in Lankaran  uyezd  in second half  of XIX and early XX”, “From history of female education in Azerbaijan”, in “Fuyuzat” journal  “ Glance at Islamic education”,  “ A good student will be  an excellent  teacher”,  “Azerbaijan Democratic Republic  and its action towards education”, “Heydar Verdiyev – pedagogue  and organizer of school education”, “Some sketches  to the portrait of Davud Sharifov”   published in Azeri and Russian languages.
