Glazed dishes with a zoomorphic image. Catalog, Baku: “Science and education”, 2016, 164 p.
229 zoomorphic glazed pottery and pottery fragments preserved in the Archaeological Fund of the National History Museum of Azerbaijan were involved in the creation of the catalog. Most of these specimens were obtained during archeological excavations from medieval settlements of Azerbaijan - Orangala (Ancient Beylagan), Ancient Ganja, I and II Bandovan, Gabala, Baku (Absheron), Shamkir and Garatapa (Beylagan). Samples of glazed pottery found by chance in the area were also involved.
These pottery samples chronologically covered the IX-XVI centuries. It is clear from the table below that 141 of the zoomorphic images consist of birds, 84 of various animals and 3 of fish.
