One of the greatest advantages of the collection is that the authors of the article reflect the life of the Azerbaijani society in the conditions of war, the participation of Azerbaijanis on the fronts of the First World War using new sources and literature.

The articles are based on a wide range of factual material - both archives and materials of the funds of the National History Museum of Azerbaijan. The author used the relevant document and photographic material preserved in the museum's funds to highlight various aspects of the problem under study as an important primary source.
