Personal belongings and documents of the hero of the April battles, officer of the Azerbaijani army, lieutenant colonel Sanan Akhundov will be transferred to the National Museum of Azerbaijan History of ANAS.
This was reported by the Department of Scientific Expositions and Exhibitions of the museum. It was stated that if Lieutenant-Colonel Sanan Akhundov, who was killed in the April fighting, had lived, he would have been 41 years old. A graduate of the Baku Higher Naval School (1996-2001), Baku State University (2004-2009) and the German Military Academy (2005-2007), Sanan Akhundov was one of the most modern-minded and knowledgeable officers of our Armed Forces. The officer, who gained the respect of the leadership and staff during his years of military service, died heroically on April 19, 2016 in the direction of Yastitape, Fizuli region.
Ramiya Ismayilova, chief specialist of the museum's Department of Scientific Expositions and Exhibitions, collected information about the life and career of the brave officer. An event will be held soon by the family of Sanan Akhundov to hand over the personal belongings and documents of the martyred officer to the National Museum of Azerbaijan History.
