Bilateral meeting of Austrian-Azerbaijani companies with joint organization of Austrian Economic Chamber and Azerbaijan Entreprenuers Confideration was planned to be held on 24 November 2021. Within the framework of the visit, the meeting was held with Executive Director Alexander Wilhelm of Fabco Gmbtl company of Austria at National Museum of History of Azerbaijan.
Director General of the Museum, academician Naila Valikhanly expressed her pleasure for seeing the guests in the Museum. During the meeting, N. Valikhanly gave information to the Austrian guest about establishment history of the Museum, activity directions and achievements. She mentioned that the Museum is located in the mansion of Azerbaijani millionaire, philanthropist H.Z.Taghiyev. The organization of new exposition and memorial museum of H.Z.Taghiyev, which will be set up after the renovation and restoration works being carrying out in the Museum, 100th anniversary of the Museum held in 2020 and activities done in this direction were talked about. Cultural relations of Azerbaijan and Austria and the importance of strengthening these relations were discussed. The guests were also provided with information on the Museum’s restoration laboratory, organization of exhibitions and application of modern museum technologies.
The two sides discussed issues of expanding future cooperation and exchange of experience between museums. Then Alexander Wilhelm talked about the activities of the company he represents. A. Wilhelm emphasized the digital restoration of museum exhibits, mainly historical manuscripts, and expressed interest in cooperation with the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan. The goal is to ensure that cultural heritage is not destroyed, that digital facsimile copies of manuscripts are made, and that they are made available to a large audience. At the end of his speech, A. Wilhelm presented his publications to the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan and expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and thanked the Museum directorate.
In the end, there was an excursion to the memorial museum of H.Z.Tagiyev, to the exhibitions "Karabakh is always the mother of dreams", "Nizami Ganjavi and the Atabegs state of Azerbaijan". The Austrian guest was presented with the Museum's elegantly designed publications.
