A lecture was held for American specialists in the museum

On June 30, 2022, a lecture entitled "Azerbaijan, the pearl of the Caucasus" was held for the scholarship holders of the American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) at the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan.

At the event, Leyla Rustamli, the Resident Director of ARISC Azerbaijan, fellows of ARISC - professor of Sauk Valley Community College (Sauk Valley Community College), PhD. Paul R. Edleman, associate professor of Metropolitan State University of Denver, PhD Summer Trentin, Sogna Hutchison, student of Willamette University, along with Ph.D in Art History Sevil Karimova, dean of Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, the teaching staff of the university - Shafa Salmanova, Tarlan Rasulov participated.

Scientific secretary of the museum, Ph.D in History Sevinj Nasirova made a thorough presentation on the topic and informed the listeners with detailed information about the ancient history and rich culture of Azerbaijan.

The lecture continued with the answering of the participants’ questions and discussing a number of issues.

In the end the guests visited H.Z. Taghiyev`s house-museum, the exhibition “Mystic beauty of weapons” and the exhibition related to the history of Karabakh and Shusha city accompanied by the employee of the museum Sara Ahmadova.
