Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to our country, Wada Junichi, visited the National Azerbaijan History Museum. Director of the museum, Academician Naila Valikhanli, ambassador Vada Junichi and his wife, employee of the embassy and head of the museum's Department of International Relations and Public Affairs Zumrud Ismayilova took part in the meeting. Firstly, Academician Naila Valikhanli said that she was glad to see the guests in the museum. Mutual cooperation relations between the museums of both countries, plans for the organization of mobile exhibitions, conferences, and training in the future were discussed, and prospects of cooperation in the relevant field between the enterprises were talked about.
Ambassador Vada Junichi spoke about the continuous development of friendly relations between Japan and Azerbaijan in political, economic, cultural and other fields for 30 years. At the same time, the ambassador said that important work will be done in the direction of exchange of cooperation with the museums of his country and Azerbaijan.
Naila Valikhanli talked about the collection of Japan-Azerbaijani cultural-historical relations preserved in the museum, emphasizing that the historical relations of both countries started in the 1960s and still continue. Moreover, the ambassador was given detailed information about the presentation of that collection in the museum's publications.
After a friendly conversation, the guests visited the house-museum of the famous philanthropist H.Z. Taghiyev. The ambassador and his wife expressed their satisfaction of the meeting and expressed their gratitude to the management of the museum.
After all, the publications based on the museum's valuable collection were presented to the ambassador and a commemorative photo was taken.
It should be noted that this meeting is of great importance in the development of the material and cultural heritage of both countries, in the field of scientific research, cooperation and exchange of experience.
