Anar Aliyev was born in Boyagli village of Kalbajar region on 28 August 1980. In 1995-1997, he served in Military Lyceum named after J.Nakhchivanski, and since 2001, he had served in Armed Forces of Azerbaijan. 

On 21 October, Anar Aliyev was martyred in Tug direction during the battles in Khojavand, and was buried in II Martyrs’ Alley.

Under the Order by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated 09.12.2020, Anar Aliyev was awarded the title “Hero of Patriotic War”, and according to the Order dated 29.12.2020, the posthumous Medal “Liberation of Shusha”. 

Martyr Anar Aliyev’s materials were handed over to the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan by Esmira Rahimova, head of the Fund of Documentary Sources.
